Born and raised in Illinois, where he is now raising four children with his wife Christy, Congressman Randy Hultgren was elected in 2010 to represent the state’s 14th Congressional District. The district is comprised of parts of McHenry, Kane, Lake, Kendall, DuPage, DeKalb and Will counties.

In Washington, Randy Hultgren has committed himself to working for fiscal sanity, real healthcare reform, and pro-growth policies that will put Americans back to work. As a member of the 2010 freshman class, Randy was part of the largest group of new Republicans in nearly 100 years. This class has shaken Washington to its foundation and has stopped the massive expansion of government dead in its tracks.

Randy is a proven conservative with a record of defending our values. He is an ardent defender of individual’s religious freedoms and protector of human life.

In the 112th Congress, Randy served on the Agriculture, Space, Science & Technology and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. In the 113th and now 114th Congress, Randy continues to serve on the Financial Services Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee. Randy founded the bipartisan House Science & National Labs Caucus and the Congressional Friends of Sweden Caucus and is a co-chair of the STEM Education Caucus. Additionally, Randy is a member of several caucuses, including the Congressional Human Trafficking Caucus, Congressional Job Creators Caucus, the House Manufacturing Caucus, the Congressional Prayer Caucus, Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus and the House Hunger Caucus.

Randy was elected to the DuPage County Board and County Forest Preserve ┬ĘBoard in 1994; to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1999; and to the Illinois Senate in 2007. At every level, he has fought for prosperity and free enterprise and for smaller, smarter government.

Randy graduated from Bethel College in 1988 and later attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, graduating in 1993. Randy was born in 1966 in Park Ridge, Illinois and he currently resides in Plano with his wife, Christy and their four children.
